Raindrop Technique
This morning I gave my husband Paul a Raindrop Massage. This is an essential oil technique that gives a great overall boost to the person giving the massage and the person receiving. Here are some clips sharing a quick overview of how the massage is done:

I believe it is very strengthening to a marriage to learn to touch in a non sexual way. Paul and I taught a variety of massage techniques to the couples who took our Childbirth Class, for all of the years we taught the Bradley Method. These relaxation techniques are the key to natural childbirth. Paul gave me a three day back massage during my marathon VBAC labor with Jeff. He was the reason I was able to have a Vaginal Birth after a Cesarean, we did that marathon together, and today, giving him an occasional raindrop really helps to convey the love I feel for him in my heart.
I have also used infant massage techniques to help my babes relax, and it was just a natural progression for us to gradually learn how to use the essential oils in our day to day life and master certain techniques, like the raindrop therapy, to help us achieve wellness. My children regularly ask for "raindrops" for a variety of issues, and I always keep the oils on hand.

Thieves Products - How to use
With Cold and Flu season just around the corner, I am really excited about this new line of products from Young Living. I have been a Young Living Essential Oils Enthusiast for ten years, and have actively worked a business on and off (mostly off) for some years now. I absolutely love these new products. My favorites are the toothpaste, lozenges, and the oil blend.
Recently I started cleaning everything with the Thieves household soap - it does it all - toilets, hardwood floors, etc... Here is a run down of all of the products. A great place to start would be to order the Thieves Kit, which contains a variety of products from the Thieves line.

How to use:
Thieves® Essential Oil Blend: For dietary, aromatic, or topical use. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as goat's or rice milk. Diffuse for short periods of time (1/2 hour or less) in the work or home environment. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Always dilute before applying to the skin or taking internally. Keep out of reach of children.
Thieves® Hard Lozenges: Dissolve one lozenge in mouth, as needed. Swallowing lozenges whole may cause choking. Keep out of reach of children and do not expose to excessive heat or direct sunlight.

Oils for a sick tummy
Last night my daughter Allison came into our bedroom at 3am and told us she felt like she was going to throw up.
She has recently started working out three times a week preparing for the fall season of gymnastics. She wants to be on the high school team next year as a ninth grader. She also started track this week and has been running after school, getting ready for the track season. When I saw her yesterday after track practice I knew she was on the edge physically. She had run twice yesterday, once for a yearly fund raiser at her school, and then again at track practice. She looked sunburned and dehydrated.
I wanted to make her stay home from Young Womens last night and rest and rehydrate, but she was determined to attend as they were doing a fund raiser for girls camp and she had promised to help. They baked home made bread and delivered it hot to members in our ward.
I noticed that she took a bath when she arrived home at 8:30 and seemed OK. She did not get sick until 3am, which is when most people become ill if they are sick during the night.
When she came into our room I immediately had her put a couple drops of Di Gize on her tongue and drink some water.
The ingredients for DiGize include herbs historically used for helping with digestive complaints.
Because these herbs are concentrated in essential oil form, only a small amount is needed to get immediate results. Allison quickly started purging the built up poisons in her body once the Di Gize started wending its way into her blood stream. I put ten drops of Valor blend into my hands and massaged it into her feet, then I balanced her and prayed, asking that she quickly be healed so she could do the fun things she has planned for this day. (The children in our district have school off today and all of my older kids were going to help a friend paint porches for his eagle scout project).
Then I put three drops of Di Gize on each foot and massaged the oil into the center of her foot where the digestive reflexes are located.
Then I massaged three more drops into each palm of her hands, and asked her to drink some more water. She then got into a hot bath to let the oils purge whatever poisons have built up out through her skin. I feel confident her body will not feel the need for a fever to purge this junk out. She was overworked, dehydrated, and suffering from the affects of too much sun, and too intensely working her body this week with multiple workouts at gymnastics and track practice.
I love the oils because they quickly fix whatever needs to be healed.

UPDATE: Next day
I spoke too soon. Allison developed a fever yesterday after I typed this post. She was hot off and on all day and night. She also continued to vomit yellow junk out of her system. She fasted the past 24 hours and just sipped water, herbal tea, and I gave her an acidophilus supplement with some Fortune Delight tea from Sunrider Corop. I also put more Di Gize on her feet several times and last night I put Immupower on her feet and did a Valor balance several times. I also prayed specifically addressing her various symptoms and exercised my Faith in Christ in her behalf. If she had not been feeling better this morning, I would have called in the Elders from our church to annoint her head and give her a priesthood blessing.
But she woke up feeling much better this morning.
I'm confident the oils still helped purge her body of the poisons that had built up, but the quickness factor was hampered and slowed down by the extremity of her dehydration and sunburn.
