Woman becomes quadruple amputee after giving birth

I feel so sorry for this mother. If it is possible she obtained the infection at the hospital, this story is just another justification for staying home surrounded by "familiar" family germs, rather than opening the mother and the baby up for possible iantrogenic infection obtained from simply being in the hospital. Certain forms of staph bacteria only exist in hospitals.
